Mike Epps ‘Still Standing’ in new year

Comedian Mike Epps is going to be very busy in 2012, starting with his “I’m Still Standing” comedy tour.

This outing takes him back and forth across the country during most of the first part of the year, but Epps will kick things off in style with a performance New Year’s Eve in Miami at the James L Knight Center. Other tour stop highlights include Indianapolis, IN, Houston, TX, Washington, DC, Greenville, SC, New York, NY, Cleveland, OH, Milwaukee, WI, Baltimore, MD and Birmingham, AL. You can find the complete tour schedule at mikeepps.com.

In February, to coincide with his tour, Epps will appear as the Official Ambassador for SuperBowl XLVI at Conseco Field House in Indianapolis.  As an Indianapolis native, he is working closely with the city’s SuperBowl Host Committee to rally the volunteers for the event to ensure the game and all the activities around the city during that weekend are a success. Hosting a SuperBowl is an economic boom for Indianapolis, and Epps is proud to be part of the process, noting, “Teamwork makes the dream work.”

The first BET Hip Hop Awards ceremony was held in 2006 at Atlanta’s Fox Theatre, where it has remained ever since. There are 16 categories, including Best Hip Hop Collaboration, Rookie of the Year, Best Live Performer and Best Hip Hop Video.
